With the advancement of geotechnologies, the Earth can be almost almost completely composed. The solid lines became boundaries, separated resources, nationality, encircling the territory. Dots refers to the site, checkpoint or somewhere should be noticed. Additionally, there are various interpretations on the map, encompassing cultural diversity, countries, and political relations. These may vary based on different dominant maps, leading to divergent perspectives and even contradictory results. Therefore, cartography is not merely a neutral tool; it is a strategic means of expressing power. By mapping information onto a landscape or future plan, it reveals what humans desire to see or conceal.
‘Beyond Path’ has been collected the data on the architectural structures of institutions which not featured in mainstream maps, according to different interpretations and conjectures of the institutions, it could be educational School or possibly prisons. The floor plans of these buildings are redrawn with solid lines and dots, defining their appearance through the path of light across the spherical surface, delineating the boundaries between inside and outside. In the continuous process of drawing and overlap, an attempt is made to interpret the darkness beyond the path and the suspicion beneath civilization.
